ABOUT US

Avi Simon (President and Manager) has been President of Rectangle Entertainment since 2009.  Acting clients of his have been cast in lead and supporting roles in films, series regular roles on TV, tested for pilot series regular roles at the networks, and booked countless recurring, guest star, and co-star roles on network, cable, and streaming television shows. 

His twenty-five years of experience and contacts in many areas of the entertainment and publishing industry give him the ability and understanding to guide and promote many kinds of artists.  He has taught and coached acting, speech, and writing at USC, Los Angeles City College, and privately.  He is a published writer and has worked as a script consultant, story analyst, and press agent. 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Columbia University and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from USC.

Gen Kiyooka (Associate Manager) was formerly a theatrical agent at a SAG-franchised agency.

Jim Lorick (Associate Manager and Producer) brings to Rectangle his varied experience in the fields of entertainment law, development, advertising, and publicity.  He has had extensive experience reviewing and negotiating development and licensing deals and other entertainment contracts.  Working in advertising, he has written and cast talent for countless commercials.  As a creative director, he has crafted marketing and publicity campaigns and communications for major companies and celebrities.  He is particularly interested in growing field of new media, nurturing and developing actor/writers who are producing their own content.  He holds a BA from UCLA and a JD from USC.
